When asked about her #experience as a mentor, Virginie expressed her #passion for going above and beyond when helping a #mentee so that she can help #develop them into future #leaders. She emphasized the #importance of letting the mentee do the work on their own, letting them think hard about what they want to achieve, and for mentors to stay open, listen, and come from a place of humility. She also shared tips on how one can have a fruitful #mentorship #engagement.

We are honored to share #insights from our recent 𝐌𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 interview with Josephine PL Ong, an accomplished #mentor in the Coaching and Training business.

When asked about her experience as a mentor, Josephine shared that as a breast cancer survivor and a bereaved mother, she uses all these real life experiences while entering into the #mentoring journey to help bring about the best in others.

She expressed her #passion for guiding and grooming younger individuals to handle challenges independently. She emphasized the importance of viewing mentoring as a partnership that helps build stronger relationships and rapport instead of its #connection to her previous role as an educator, where mentoring was often subsumed under the broader term of teaching.

Josephine finds fulfillment in witnessing the growth, #transformation, and progression of her mentees, considering it the most rewarding aspect of being a mentor. She also contemplates becoming a #mentee herself to further benefit from the mentoring experience.
