I am a Trust and Safety professional at Twitter, and previously worked at TikTok. I make policies to regulate content, to make platforms a more trustworthy and safe environment. Before joining the tech space, I was a legal professional, completing my Juris Doctor at the University of Hong Kong. Giving up a traditionally prestigious and well-paying job was a difficult choice, but something that provided purpose in my life. I also moved around a lot! From Korea to Hong Kong to New York to London to Singapore - all of which were conscious decisions I had to make, which would have life-changing consequences.
When making life-changing decisions, my mentors (personally or career wise) helped tremendously to provide guidance. Such guidance was not about making the decisions for me, but to teach me how to make wise decisions.
I'm a Learning & Development Manager at a regional company. I'm in charge of developing wellbeing strategy and programs. I'm also a certified mindfulness based leadership trainer, and I'm getting trained to be a certified coach. Having been in and out of Singapore since 2009, I feel strongly about connecting with and empowering the youths in the country.
