Short Bio : Dr Abdul Kahlid is Assistant Director (Continuing Education and Training) at the Centre for Educational Development at Republic Polytechnic. In this capacity, he oversees continuing education and training programmes for teaching and learning for L&D professionals in the public and private sectors. Prior to this, he was Assistant Director of Academic and Administration at the School of Sports, Health and Leisure, Republic Polytechnic, and was one of the pioneers of the School, as Programme Chair for the Diploma in Outdoor and Adventure Learning. Before moving to Republic Polytechnic, he served as Head (Programmes & Development) at the premier Outward Bound Singapore for 15 years and was also concurrently Research Consultant. Dr Abdul completed his Doctor of Education with a speciality in Outdoor Education with the prestigious Russell Group, University of Edinburgh, UK. He also has a Master of Education (Training and Development) from another Russell Group, University of Sheffield. He has a great passion to nurture and develop individuals through learning, developing, coaching and mentoring. He is currently pursuing coaching credentials.
