Short Bio : Based in Bangladesh, Mohammad Nurun Nobi is Assistant Merchandise Manager at VF Asia Sourcing. Founded in 1899, VF is one of the world’s largest apparel producers with more than 20 footwear and accessories brands, including Vans, The North Face, Timberland and Dickies. Within his role, he assists in establishing and enhancing relationships with customers and vendors to maximize business growth and expand opportunities. He is also involved in managing orders and production, and supervising merchandising activities to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. He joined VF Asia in 2017 as an Engineer for the Manufacturing Excellence Department in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Previously, he worked as a Senior Executive at Bata Shoe Company from 2013, a Merchandiser at Bay Emporium from 2011, and an Assistant Manager at Jenny’s Shoes from 2008. Nobi received a Masters of Science in Manufacturing System Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Warwick, London, in 2017 through the joint VF-Hinrich Foundation scholarship. He also has a Master of Business Administration from Southeast University in Bangladesh in 2014. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Leather Engineering from the University of Dhaka in 2008.
