Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Shafiar is the Manager of Factory Compliance Program (APAC) at VF Corp, one of the world’s largest apparel producers with more than 20 footwear and accessories brands including Vans, The North Face, Timberland and Dickies. He works closely with regional teams to ensure the successful implementation of VF’s Factory Compliance Program.Shafiar has extensive experience in compliance and auditing within the textile, apparel, and financial industries. Prior to VF Asia, he was a Responsible Sourcing Specialist at The Children’s Place and a Senior Auditor at Intertek Bangladesh.

A-Team Coach & facilitator, Mentor, Academician, and Sustainability Mindset expert from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Beyond the coaching paradigm, Ms. Mostari is also working as an Assistant professor at the Human Resources Management department in Stamford University Bangladesh.

I am an industrial and production engineer with more than 6 years of working experience, especially in apparel and footwear manufacturing in several countries in Asia. Demonstrated outstanding business outcomes by driving Speed, deploying Lean/“continuous improvement” culture to improve quality, productivity, and on-time performance. And a self-driven individual with good competency in Project Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Change Management, Problem Solving, Analytical skills and Effective Communication.

Strong operations professional with a Master's of Science (MSc) focused in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University & the Warwick University of UK pursued with VF-Hinrich Global Trade Leader Scholarship, and with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) focused in Industrial and Production Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh.

Based in Bangladesh, Mohammad Nurun Nobi is Assistant Merchandise Manager at VF Asia Sourcing. Founded in 1899, VF is one of the world’s largest apparel producers with more than 20 footwear and accessories brands, including Vans, The North Face, Timberland and Dickies.

Within his role, he assists in establishing and enhancing relationships with customers and vendors to maximize business growth and expand opportunities. He is also involved in managing orders and production, and supervising merchandising activities to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. He joined VF Asia in 2017 as an Engineer for the Manufacturing Excellence Department in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Previously, he worked as a Senior Executive at Bata Shoe Company from 2013, a Merchandiser at Bay Emporium from 2011, and an Assistant Manager at Jenny’s Shoes from 2008.

Nobi received a Masters of Science in Manufacturing System Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Warwick, London, in 2017 through the joint VF-Hinrich Foundation scholarship. He also has a Master of Business Administration from Southeast University in Bangladesh in 2014. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Leather Engineering from the University of Dhaka in 2008.
