Short Bio : Alan has a background in Talent Management, Learning and Development, Rewards and Mobility Management, and HR Consulting built up over 30+ years. He has succeeded in country, regional and group-wide leadership roles with UOB, Intel, SAP, Towers Perrin, and the Republic of Singapore Airforce. In each of these roles, from his conviction on leading with strong ethical values, he has helped individuals and companies to grow and succeed. He has provided thought leadership, developed and implemented strategies and programmes covering leadership development, talent management, performance management, compensation and benefits, and international assignments. In recent years, Alan has devoted more of his energies to developing, coaching and mentoring others. He was the prime mover for Leadership Right By You (LRBY), UOB’s series of signature leadership development programmes plus he project managed the design and rollout of their Leadership Acceleration Programme for high potential employees. Currently, Alan helps individuals to Grow, to find Joy by becoming a better version of themselves, Contentment through cherishing people and experiences that matter deeply and Meaning from doing work that is their career best - of service to others and aligned with their values. Alan has over 20+ years of experience in leadership development programme designing, facilitation and coaching. Recognizing the critical role managers and leaders play in role modeling the right behaviours in the organization, Alan was instrumental in launching a series of leadership development programmes quipping managers to deliver on the company’s EVP and values. The initiative introduced novel digital learning platforms and components that won UOB numerous awards for innovative use of technology for learning. Alan has also designed and was also an assessor in development centres for high potentials. In his various leadership roles, Alan has coached and mentored scores of colleagues. He is a certified Marshall Goldsmith Coach for Leaders and Teams and a Registered Corporate Coach with Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC). Additionally, he has designed and implemented competency and values-based performance management systems.
