Synopsis

In this inaugural 'Venture Creation in Asia: Fireside Chat series', we are bringing Founders | Entrepreneurs and Investors | Angels | Mentors | Venture Builders together in moderated fireside chat sessions to share stories of venture building - highlighting the fact that venture building is a sustained team effort.

In this fireside chat, we bring together the founder of MindFi - and one of his angel investors and key advisors - to talk about the journey of building MindFi, a fast-growing technology startup and a leader in the corporate mental wellbeing space in Asia

About MindFi:

MindFi's mission is to build positive and productive workplaces with greater mental wellbeing. Through our family of apps and services, we're helping companies to build a more mindful workplace culture for their employees around the world, give them access to practical and relevant wellbeing tools, connect them with supportive peers or professionals, and help employers and leaders to develop more sustainable people-centric programs and policies.

Based in sunny Singapore, we are a fast-growing technology startup managed by a team of technology veterans from Silicon Valley and Asia and our products have been featured by Apple, BBC, Forbes, SCMP. MindFi is advised by global leaders in business, psychology and technology, such as ex-Apple Distinguished Technologist and serial entrepreneur Yen-Lu Chow, and Prof. Steve Hickman of UC San Diego (UCSD).

During that time, he suffered from stress-induced chest pains that were "cured" after he took his doctor's advice to learn mindfulness.

In a subsequent role at Zendesk, his exposure to the high-pressure customer support industry made him realize mental wellbeing is not just a personal, but a business solution.
