Synopsis
Mentoring is a connecting journey where mentors share their knowledge and expertise with their mentees and help them grow personally and professionally by listening deeply, asking thoughtful questions, guiding and offering ideas for growth.
Dr Smita Singh
Trainer; Ex-Lecturer Ministry of Education
Dr SMITA Singh is Lecturer by profession and writer by choice. During her 15 years as an environmental professional, she worked on various projects for leading companies and universities. She is a certified Trainer for health & community care (Integrated health management), worked as a Lecturer for James Cook University in Singapore & Institute of Technology and Science in India. She conducted Theory Classes (Environmental Sciences) for Bachelor of Business Administration for Mewar University. She has industry experience with Mott McDonald Engineering as an environmental specialist for Mumbai Metropolitan City, and worked in Singapore as Environmental Specialist for Land Transport Authority & Housing Development.
She was the key project person on Environmental Impact Assessment for Mumbai Sewage Disposal Master Plan 2 (BSDP stage 2). SMITA has:
Lead role in Environmental Impact Assessments & Environmental management
Assess all method statement (WMS ) and Environmental submissions
Verify and validate the overall environmental performance of the project
Coordinate with environment consultant and client
Prepare and monitor environmental monitoring & management plan professionals
Maintain ISO 14000 system and liaising with stakeholders
Ensure compliance to workplace safety and health regulations
She has been a prolific writer for three years, with many of her articles on environmental issues getting published in leading newspapers. She is a certified and Professional Trainer in Singapore. She has 15 years’ experience in teaching and training undergraduate aspirants and a frequent speaker at colleges. She was associate writer for Disaster Management for International institute for sustainable future in Mumbai.
What is this Mentor Circle session all about?
We are introducing monthly Mentor Circles.
These are mentor led peer learning sessions that will be held online.
The key objective of these sessions is for Certified Professional Mentors (and potentially Mentors) of the AIM community to support each other on their mentoring journey.
