Synopsis

The fourth industrial revolution, accelerated by the pandemic, is transforming the way people work, the types of jobs available and the skills required. Technologies involving automation and AI are increasing productivity by carrying out repetitive, routine tasks and thinking systematically. Research suggests that AI has the potential to automate 40% of the average work day, freeing up workers to focus on complex tasks.

Technology is also enabling remote working, as well as, creating new types of jobs, especially through online platforms which lets individuals freelance and work flexible work hours.

With these changes in technology and working behavior, what does this mean for leadership in the new world of work? Are traditional leadership skills and values still relevant or is a new leadership style required?

In this webinar, we discuss what type of leadership is needed by government and business leaders in the new world of work and whether it is only a matter of time when robots learn human intelligence and lead the human workforce.
