Short Bio : 25+ years of international experience, track record in profit growth under various corporate governance structures including those of a listed company, joint ventures and my own consulting company. Thorough understanding and hands on experience of General P&L Management, Team Management and Business Development across the larger APAC region. I started my career as a farm hand and bulldozer operator in Canada where I migrated as a teenager, whilst working on the ice-pack in Alaska, I was offered a mechanic position on an oil exploration vessel, this led to installing and commissioning US research equipment onboard Russian oil exploration vessels during the later parts of the Cold War. I arrived Singapore onboard one of these research vessels and was offered an expatriate position as technical manager for an Oil exploration company. A switch of company opened my career horizon and allowed me to develop my proficiency to the extent I was selected to lead the company business in APAC. The following years saw the region profitable growth and reach expand exponentially; culminating with the creation of a very profitable new ventures business line. Having left the company I created my own advisory and consulting company working standalone or teaming up with major consulting firms. Having left corporate the opportunities to mentor are reduced. I have a genuine desire to contribute my insight and experience to others. In my somewhat unusual journey, I rose through the ranks in constant transition and change. As a leader all my achievements came from trusting my intuition and vision and especially empowering every individual in my team. Knowing what I did not know allowed me to accept expertise and help people grow into their own mastery. I feel that heartfelt and balanced decisions, responsible, open and resilient leadership are particularly relevant but hard to achieve in the current insecure business climate other than with mentoring.
